A Picture

Paint me a picture in many a hue — red, green, yellow and blue…

Paint me a picture in many a hue.

Red, Green, Yellow and Blue.

A pretty landscape with cows in the field,

and clouds as bright as the sunlight they shield.

Put some birds in the sky with the clouds and the sun,

and lots of soft grass to roll on in fun.

Then two little friends holding each other’s hand,

spreading love, fun and laughter to the ends of the land.

Paint me a picture in shades more mellow.

Blue, Red, Green and Yellow.

Sketch me the Autumn and the leaves on the ground.

(Toss in the breezes that blow them around.)

Show where the squirrels have gathered their nuts,

leaving footprints all over the natives’ neat huts.

Paint me a vision of the seasons of Life —
