I saw this film in the cinema, back in the day and loved it. As a Stephen King fan, I always had to see the films even knowing they were often bad and never lived up to the books. But these are just smashing. I also loved the way you summarised each of the stories- and my reactions were the same as yours! The raft dude's leg, and the guy who made it, only to not make it after all - argh!! Terrible and brilliant. It's almost 40 years later and I still say "thanks for the ride, lady" when a friend drops me home. Most people laugh and have no clue what I mean. Thanks for this article 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻
